natural Make up Shoot

This barely there look is one of my absolute favourites- i think it really captures natural beauty ! what do u guys think? i did this a couple of weeks ago with a beautiful model from Birmingham who was in london for an All Saints Shoot !

Male Fashion Shoot

Hey guys so i did a shoot with a new male model who in my opinion has heaps of potential and is just the nicest sweetest thing ever ! I took over for hair, make up and styling and mixed classic looks with eclectic vintage pieces to achive what u see here ! do we likey ??

contemporary vintage make up

hey guys here is a shoot i did for an agency model - shes only 14 years old but such a unique face! I love her delicate features so i went for a vintage contemporary look,  with rustic clolours all over the lid blended upwards and yellow to the browbone and cheekbones for a contemporary fashion look. what do you guys think ?

Red Carpet Premiere of ''One Day '' . Client Gabriella Ellis

For this look, I went for a light grey base all over the lids , then defined Gabriellas crease with a purple shadow which i blended upwards towards the brow.

 I then used a glittery black Eyeshadow into the outer corner of the eye and blended inwards into the purple.

 The key to this look is beautiful colours softly blended together so a blending brush is a must!!

 For the bottom of the eyes i lined them with the same purple eyeshadow using an angled brush then using a smaller angled brush went on top with black. This gave me a multidimensional look and the purple framed her eyes beautifully.

 I applied a 60's style eyeliner gel on the lids and finished with my favourite falsies by Mac !

The base was kept clean with minimal blusher for two reasons: fistrly because Gabriella was very tanned on the day and also because i wanted a really strong lip colour.

 I achieved the lip colour with a combination of Rebel and Violetta both by Mac (thin layer of Rebel used all over lips and then Violetta applied with a lip brush) .

If you have just had a spray tan (our favoutite is Vitta Liberata- natural,even,odorless- just amazing!!!) or even if you have a natural dark tan avoid contouring the face or using bronzer if you are doing a heavy eye or lip. Let the tan speak for itself and even it out by highlighting under the eyes (i love the Mac NW25 studio fix concealer) and using soft pinks on the cheeks.

A glam rock shoot i did with a gorgeous model previously from Storm Agency. We went for wet look smoky eyes using Mac's black track and generous helpings of vaseline! :) You can tone this down  for a night out, wear with jeans and a simple tee and leather jacket fro instant rock chick glamour !

Make up for Gabriella Ellis -'' Made in Chelsea '' - Season 2 Episode 2

Here is a breakdown of this look ..:)

Skin:  I firstly used a sheer coverage foundation all over the face. I then used my Shiny Look Full Coverage cake foundation and applied with a small brush just where it was needed. This gave us a flawless canvas but still allowed her skin to look fresh and dewy rather than caked in full coverage foundation . I applied a thin layer of Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW25 under the eyes. When doing this remember less is more and make sure to blend well either with fingers or a foundation brush.

Brows : I framed her eyebrows with Brun A20 eyeshadow by Mac  (a chocolate brown colour) using an angled brush and i moved on to the eyes. Apply light feathery strokes when enhancing your eyebrows and if in doubt opt for a dark brown/chocolate shade. Dark and super defined brows are set to be huge this autumm !

Eyes: I started with  an eye primer all over the lid.This will give give your eye make up staying power and keep it smudge free but it will also keep the colour punchy and super vibrant. You can use any primer, or even concealer on the eyes which you can set with a loose powder before applying eyeshadow. One of my faves is  Painterly Paint Pot by Mac which is what i used here. I started my smokey eye by applying MAC ORB all over the lid and blending it up to the brow bone. This shade is a creamy vanilla shade and works well on most skintones.

I continued with my Black Tied AC9 sparkly black eyeshadow by Mac (again!). I applied it from the outer corner of the eye and blended it into the centre of the lid. I then tackled my awesome Shiny Look Star Powder in Emerald Green which i mixed on the back of my hand with the Shiny Look Star Powder Gel. These particular beauties are the most amazing things i have ever held in my hands ! with incredible punchy vibrand colour, a little goes a long way! they can be used on their own or mixed with the Gel which turns this mighty dust into a solid slightly creamy eyeshadow. I applied it all over the lid and blended upwards towards the brows blending it upwards.I then highlighted under the eyebrow with the Shimmer brick Compact by Bobbi Brown.  I did a flick eyeliner line with the Barry M Wink Eyeliner Pen and applied two layers of DiorShow Extase Mascara in Black.  There are so many mascaras out there - Dior,Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent so some gorgeous ones! However cheaper brands so some amazing ones too like Mac (love the Pro Lash Mascara )Maybelinne (i adore the Colossal Volume Express and the Falsies!) and Max Factors (Fuzion )
Cheeks:  I mixed Sunbasque and Fleur Power powder blushers by Mac and applied it on the top of the cheekbones blending into the hairline. I contured the cheeks using Shiny Look Terracota Sculpting Compact. I highlighted with Gold Deposit Mineralise Skinfinish by Mac.
Lips:  A simple pink gloss completed the look !

My new Lip Obsession !!

Morning beauties,

I come bearing gifts !!!

I have discovered and fallen head over heels in love with Collection 2000 ''Cream Puff'''.

 Enriched with a hyper-moisturising, vitamin-rich formula, the creamy colour hugs lips to give your pout the perfect powdery finish.

A lot of Matte lipsticks look too ''done up'' whilst others are chalky and dry out the lips.

So you can only imagine my excitment in finding a velvety smooth, matte colour that glides on the lips without adding shine.... for just 2.99 i intent to stock up my kit and personal make up bag pronto! see you at the counter !

Gabriella Ellis Purple Hot Lips

I promised i would reveal the colours we used for Gabbies bright purple lips on our Made in Chelsea Shoot. So here goes !

 I used Benefit Buffing Lip Beads to gently exfoliate her lips, before applying MAC Lip Primer from the Prep and Prime range. I then used a lip pencil - Magenta Lip pencil by MAC.

 I then mixed two lip colours to achieve a multi dimensional look that would write well on camera.

First i applied a thin layer of MAC's Satin Rebel A20 straight from the tube, then with a lip brush i applied two coats of MAC Violetta B30 giving empasis to the middle of the mouth.

To finish, i used my favourite lip tip and traced her lips with concealer to really make them pop !

Summer gorgeous skin

Hey gorgeous bloggers,

You dont need to break the bank to have summer gorgeous skin.

Simply mix your normal foundation with moisturiser to create your very own tinted moisturiser.
 Use concealer only where you need it and under eyes to brighten them up. Make sure your concealer is a shade lighter than your foundation and voila! gorgeous summer skin without having to buy a tinted moisturiser or a lighter foundation :)

For a daytime look,either use a pink or peach cream blusher to give a youthful fresh faced glow or sweep bronzer on cheekbones and blend into your hairline. Add a coat of your favourite mascara (im currently testing 7 different ones-one for each day of the week!) and voila !

Check out the beautiful Franchesca Hull in our photoshoot not too long ago. Chesca is a natural beauty and hardly ever wears eyeshadow. For this shoot however we went for a slightly more glam look- mixing orange,gold and bronzed shades on her eyes to make her pop. Coral hues work amazing on most blondes and really give a fresh look that you can build to go from natural to glam ! We kept the lips natural, simply enhancing Chescas natural lip colour and voila! Add big hair and there you have it !! what do you guys think?? isnt she gorg ;)

How to make the most of your make up

1. lipsticks  can double up as gorgeous cream blushes!
2. Vaseline or clear lipbalms can be used lightly on brows to tame them, or on the lids of eyes for Sunday Natural chic!
3. Eyeshadow can be used to define eyebrows instead of an eyebrow pencil! make sure you use an angle brush to do so !
4.Thoroughly wash your old mascara wand and lay it out flat to dry. Once dry it can be used to comb eyebrows and lashes !
5. You can mix your ordinary foundation with moisturiser to make your own tinted moisturiser- perfect for my holiday sun-kissed babes !

My favourite High Shine Lip !

There are plenty of naturally glossed lip glosses out there for daytime use.. Benefit does some great ones and Bobbi Brown too!

However its not easy to find a high shine full of sexy glamour lip gloss for special nights out!

I have two favourites :

The LipGloss by Dolce and Gabbana

AND

Shiny Look Cosmetics Lipglosses. Shiny Look are a greek brand thats very popular in Europe but not yet sold in the Uk. Their cosmetics are one of the best i have worked with and their glosses are absolutely fabulous- they smell amazing, they look great and come in some gorgeous colours too :)

 for my hangover beauties.. put two teaspoons in the fridge for 10 minutes and then gently pop on your eyes. Say goodbye to puffy, tired eyes !! Drink plenty of water to rehydrate your system and make sure you moisturise your skin and body - alcohol really dehydrates your skin!
